Lainey got to feed Savannah a bottle today. Savannah is a little girl at church who came over for a few hours today while her mommy was at work. Lainey awaited her arrival with joyful anticipation this morning. I could tell she didn't really know what to expect when she got here but quickly settled into the babysitter role, pulling out every trick she knew from rattles, to peekaboo, to bottles. When Savannah was on her belly she was particularly frustrated until we turned her over- I was so impressed that Lainey said, "maybe her belly is hurting like Emery's." Kids are so smart. It is amazing what they put together at such a young age. Savannah is a very happy easily contented baby, so it was a lot of fun for Lainey today. Even Emery had fun with her. He was more intent on studying someone younger than him and bringing her toys than he was on nurturing her though. What a fun day!
