We finally made it to the aquarium for Lainey's birthday. The kids had a great time. They especially enjoyed touching the stingrays (stingers removed, of course). Lainey must have spent a couple of hours with her arm in the tank. She even got to role play saving a beached dolphin. Then she and Emery both got to help out with story time by playing a sea turtle and a pirate. They rode a trolley and a boat. We finished the day off with a trip to the park on the way home. It feels nice to take full advantage of daddy's day off. What a great day! Now Lainey can officially say her celebration is over. ;)
