After the tooth excitement, we arrived in Seattle and met up with Connor and Janna, some friends from OHSU. We went to dinner and caught up on what has been going on in the past year. The next day we were able to meet with Ben and Sara as well.
Lainey's first official solid food. Ok, maybe she didn't actually get any off of the loaf, but she was able to taste it! We were still holding off on solid food until after we got back from Oregon. I figured it would be best to try one new thing at a time and we wanted to wait until her "7 month birthday."
It was so nice to see these guys again! We had so much fun with them in dental school- it's hard to believe it is over!
Later that day we went to Van and Lisa's wedding. Lainey was good enough to sit through the first 10 minutes, then we had to go out and walk around for a while.
After the wedding we went to an Asian restaurant for the reception. They served all sorts of food that was new to us and we were able to experience a few of Van and Lisa's family traditions. Again, Lainey was a trooper. A little restless. but overall very good, considering she usually goes to bed at 7:30 and we kept her up past 10:00.
There was quite a few OHSU grads who came to celebrate with Van and Lisa. David enjoyed seeing everyone again.
Recognize this group? Some of David's best friends.
Daddy was proud to show off his little girl.
More friends shots.
We kept Lainey entertained with whatever was on the table after she got bored with her toys. Thank goodness she wasn't walking at that point or we would have been in for it! She played with pens, silverware, chop sticks, and party favors and made all sorts of noise.
Van and Lisa
Awe... I love my little girl. It's funny how there was a slow progression from my lap, to the stroller, to the floor in our attempt to keep her happy in such a small space. It was cooler on the floor so we laid out our napkins and let her hang out there for a while.
Jana and Sara- the seasoned moms- were there to encourage me. They were able to leave their babies at home for the weekend. I sure do miss seeing these girls more often.
Van and Lisa made their rounds to say thank you.
