After a long day at the hospital we were finally released to go home exactly 36 hours from her birth minute- not a second sooner. The nurse was watching the clock. Everyone was happy and healthy and ready for a good night's sleep without a heel stick or blood pressure reading. Here are a few photos of Lainey's first experience in her car seat for her first ride in a car!

What a proud daddy he is! Lainey is so cute! I understand about the leaving the hospital to get rest. For some reason I thought it was supposed to be relaxing in the hospital...everyone taking care of you and such! Well, not when they have to wake you up for something just when you fell asleep! Hope you guys are adjusting well and Lainey too in this new world she's in.
