Emery is out of surgery now. He is back up in the PICU and they have him all situated and back on the monitors there. The surgery lasted about 3 hours. The surgeon did come and explain everything to us and I will elaborate on that later. For now I just wanted to let everyone know he is stable and they have his vitals under control. He still has a fever and chills and his heart rate is elevated, so we will continue to closely monitor him throughout the night. There is always a good chance of infection when manipulating the belly during surgery, so that is our prime concern right now. Please pray that he remains stable.
