Happy 4th of July Em-o! This is the third little celebration we've had at the hospital. The first was David's birthday, the second was Father's day. We didn't do much, just hung out with Emery during the day and with Lainey after he fell asleep that evening. We visited the local fireworks stand on the way home and picked out a few old favorites- pop its, sparklers, smoke balls. We waited until it was nearly dark and went outside. There were small fireworks and people out in their yards all over the neighborhood. The weather was beautiful and warm. my favorite thing to hear Lainey say right now is "momma, it's a beautiful day." It is also cute when she points out that "the clouds are angry, momma, its going to rain."
His Thomas ball and his balloon were still his favorites. Although, he started collecting all sorts of toys around this time. He wasn't quite strong enough to throw the ball yet but we were working on passing it back and forth. Grandma had a new bag of his toys from home each time she came for a few days. He loved seeing all of his old stuff- sounds funny since he is only less than 18 months old. His favorite was the little basketball hoop that he got for Christmas.
