Day 4: Lainey's 1st trip to the Oregon coast

Can anyone guess where we went first?....

Mmmm...

David and I have been going to Cannon beach for a weekend in the spring since we got married. This year had to be a little different due to time limitations but it was nice to get back and visit some of our favorite places. We started early enough to hit the famous Pig 'N Pancake for breakfast. We don't go out to eat a lot so this was Lainey's first high chair experience. She did well- we played a nice game of pick up while we were eating, which seemed to keep her amused.

It was mighty windy on the coast, as usual for a spring day at Cannon Beach. We didn't let that stop us from capturing our first family photo in front of Haystack Rock.

We warmed up a bit with some tea at the local coffee shop and Lainey had a nap on Grandma's lap. We found naps are hard to come by when you are on vacation. It is either nap on the go or no nap at all these days. My poor tired baby.

Here is Lainey's second high chair experience- all in the same day! It seems like all we did was eat while we were at the beach- ha! Yes, we also stopped by Bruce's Candy Kitchen and picked up some salt water taffy- yum. After dinner we made the trip back to meet up with the Marl family and friends.

We had a lot of fun getting together to visit again.
